Waymarks welcomes new Director

Waymarks News
6 March 2019

Waymarks is delighted to welcome Simon Blyghton as our new Director. Simon has held a number of senior roles across the Dimensions Group, most recently as Regional Managing Director for Dimensions’ South Region and previously as Director of Performance across the Group.

Simon says, “I’d like to extend my thanks and best wishes to my predecessor Steph Thompson, who leaves Waymarks in a robust position. During her leadership, Steph has shaped Waymarks into an organisation proud of its capacity to support people with complex histories and risky behaviours to recover. Proud of its record in supporting people to build enduring personal and community connections. And ultimately, proud that it defines success as being when someone no longer needs Waymarks’ support. Steph, you have made a real difference to real people and have my enduring gratitude. I look forward to working with the Waymarks team to build on the platform you have created.

My brief is to ensure the Group has a consistent approach to how we support complex individuals, from the very first point of contact through to long term reductions in support needs as people gain independence. Waymarks and Dimensions have a great deal to learn from each other in this regard and I hope to act as an effective bridge.  In my first few weeks, I hope to be spending time getting out and about listening and learning to find out more and developing  a work plan that will see us building on the success being achieved.”
